A water-efficient showerhead uses approximately 9 litres per minute. An older style showerhead uses approximately 19 litres per minute - that's 10 litres more! Having a daily 5 minute shower with an older style showerhead uses about 36,500 litres of water a year.


Up to 60% of the human adult body is water. According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%.


Somewhere between 70-75 percent of the earth’s surface is covered with water. Imagine how the earth would look if there was more land.


Water is composed of two elements, Hydrogen and Oxygen Water freezes at 0° and boils at 100°.
