Four key Education Principles capture that which we Value and our Statement of Purpose



Learners and learning are central



  1. adopt a learners and learning-centred approach to develop personal agency and empowerment
  2. encourage the development of a sense of identity through a personalised approach
  3. view learning as developing the whole person - intellectual, emotional, social, physical, cultural
  4. engage students in developing confidence as learners through active investigation, inquiry, social interaction and collaboration
  5. develop a positive attitude and disposition to learning
  6. develop general learning capabilities: critical and creative thinking; personal and social capability; ethical understanding and intercultural understanding
  7. support professional learning, knowledge sharing and collaboration through team structures, collaborative planning and peer observations and feedback

Community



  1. promote a sense of community and belonging by promoting human connectedness, building trust and mutual respect
  2. build community and encourage participation, contribution and engagement in and by the community at all levels from individual Learning Communities to whole school community to the wider community
  3. develop partnerships and foster networks of partners to break down barriers and support student wellbeing, engagement and inclusion to enable efficient and effective learning
  4. provide opportunities for meaningful engagement within and between early learning centres, schools, families and the wider community
  5. express the identity, values and aspirations of the community.
  6. develop the interconnectedness with people and environments around the globe and contribution to a global society and economy Cultivate respect for key universal values such as peace, sustainability and upholding the rights and dignity of all people


Diversity
