Science Week, Day 2

Coding and STEM

Today the year 5/6 students undertook a STEM and coding workshop where they were challenged to appropriately code an 'mbot' to traverse a course they were able to visualise. The students needed to successfully exit the course in one coded instruction. The year 8 science team lead by Sarah, Jessie and Sreenidhi explained to the 5/6 students the importance of coding and STEM knowledge in an ever growing technological society. The 5/6 students developed troubleshooting skills and were able to traverse half way across the track with their codes. Trial and error and resilience were invaluable skills that were developed today.
