Book Week Parade @ Featherbrook

The Book Week Parade was a colourful and exciting place to be at Featherbrook College this morning. By all accounts the range of costumes, book characters and themes being paraded around the stadium reflected the commitment by parents, students, teachers and staff to make this an event to remember.

Students really got into the spirit of the occasion, confidently and with pizazz showing off their favourite book or character. Ranging from Harry Potter, Pikachu, Alice In Wonderland characters, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman and many versions of wicked witches to mention a few.

Thanks to the many parents and families who came along to see and support our parade. It really was a highlight of Book Week and an event that I hope will further help to promote the love of reading, the love of literature and the love of learning through books.
