The students engaged with the Product Design process using Computer Aided Design (CAD)
They engaged in a 5 Step Design Thinking Process of: Empathise, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test.
Students transformed ideas into products with design thinking concepts using industry standard 3D CAD Software (Fusion 360) to create a parametric model. They explored how the intersection of computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing influences the world around us and were introduced to virtual 3D sculpting tools.
Some of the Skills the students used included:
• Analytical thinking and innovation
• Critical thinking and analysis
• Creativity, originality and initiative.
The photo images show just how engaged the students were and hopefully triggering some career possibilities for some of them
