Year 7 Students Time Travel

31.08.19

The year 7 students went to Melbourne Museum on Thursday to conceptualize their taught ecosystems unit and appreciate the necessity of sustainability. Students saw, for the first time: the bones of a blue whale to scale, dinosaurs, a large array of animal species and how we took those first steps on land millions of years ago, courtesy of an ancesteral lungfish.

The experience sparked so many questions from so many students. It was clear that the museum elicited the scientific curiosity in all of us. Students were able to observe the impacts we are making on our environment through space via an IMAX experience and left more aware and concerned for the implications we make on our future.
