Remembrance Day was observed today with students and staff gathering for a minute of silence at 11 o'clock. Students Imogen and Druhv led the ceremony with an explanation of the history of Remembrance Day as a day of remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom, Democracy and liberty. Imogen, whose father is a serving member of the military gave a personal view of what it means to have someone so close to her, be a contemporary face of guarding our free way of life. Imogen read 'The Ode'.
They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We shall remember them.
