Footy Colours Day An Outstanding Success!

13.09.19

Footy Colours Day was celebrated across many schools today to specifically raise funds for research into childhood cancer; a very worthy cause that was the real focus of day. Each gold coin donation made by a student who wore their favourite team's colours whether it be AFL, soccer, netball, cricket, rugby or even car racing, made a welcomed contribution to the cause. Thank you to all families who participated.

There were a range of competitions across recess and lunchtime that allowed students to show their own skills in their chosen sport. I thoroughly enjoyed the penalty shootout at lunchtime where a number of our students showed exceptional ball skills as they sunk the soccer ball deep into the corners of the goals. Teachers and students alike dressed for the day with teachers joining in on the activities. It was a great way to finish off the week.
