The year 1 students have been collecting data and making surveys and graphs.
Today they looked at amount of rubbish outside in the garden beds around the buildings.
The students collected, then sorted the rubbish according to our classroom bin system: paper, compost, landfill and recycling.
In the classroom, they worked together create a survey using tallying. Following this, the students made their own graphs using the survey results. As a class, they discussed how this data could be interpreted in regards to our college's nude food and eating habits.
