Celebrating Education Week

26.05.2022

Students were shown a video clip of ‘then and now’ where the architecture of the early school buildings were discussed and the sorts of classes that were experienced by the students. It was interesting to the students to hear that there were up to 60 students in one class and that the only resource the teacher had was a blackboard. The introduction of computers in the early 1980’s was also a point of interest.

It was a great celebration of 150 years of public education where we all appreciated the wonderful education experiences we now enjoy, and the modern resources that are aplenty to support the unique learning needs of all students.
