Morris is a well regarded children's book author and his books have graced the shelves of many libraries and homes for many years. He co-wrote 'Wicked' in 1998 and 'Deadly' in 2001 with equally famous author Paul Jennings.
I remember reading his book 'Two Weeks With the Queen' to my Year 6 students at Parkmore Primary School in 1997. It was considered a very contemporary novel at that time.
We have many of Morris' titles in our Featherbrook Library and with a cursory look at at borrowing data, our students have borrowed his books on over 250 occasions. It was a delight to host Morris today and I am confident that our students learned a little more about the life of a full time author and how to be inspired to write.
