The school centralises its curriculum around being literate, enjoying rich literary experiences and recognises that reading and reading broadly is the gateway to success in all other areas of study. Apart from building academic success through reading a varied diet of texts, put simply, the love and enjoyment of reading is in and of itself reason to engage in daily reading.
Along with Story Time at recess, the library is open to students at lunchtime to enjoy reading, selecting and sharing books with friends. I enjoyed reading in the lunchtime library session today with a couple of our enthusiastic young readers. I highly recommend to everyone, gifting yourself time to read for enjoyment each day.
