The raffle, whilst a bit of fun and enjoyment for those who might be lucky enough to win one of the many hampers that will be made from the donations, it is being run for a serious cause, and one that may have diminished a little in the thoughts of some - the devastation caused by the recent bushfires. Our intention is to raise funds through the Easter raffle for Wlidlife Victoria who continue to tirelessly work to help rehabilitate the many animals injured during the bushfires. This work will require a relentless effort from the workers and volunteers at Wildlife Victoria and we should be very proud as a school community to be assisting in this way.
Many students and families have been keen to let me know that they have sold their book of raffle tickets already knowing that the money is going to such a worthy cause. Thank you to our wonderfully warm and generous Featherbrook College families who continue to show the character of our school community; one of care and consideration for others, including our needy wildlife.
